2008: Tour de RomandieThr 21.8. Cossonay - Yverdon - Biel - Solothurn - Olten - Aarau, 178km (9:04)8:30 departure, it was a bit cooler, and the wind changed to north-east, a surprise. After 4km I reach Cossonay, and shop there quickly. Further hilly to La Sarraz, Orbe, and then Yverdon - I'm a bit slower due a bit sore achilles heel since first day. I ride along the west side of the lake of Neuchatel, in Auvernier I eat lunch, extensively and fix the cords within the tent pipes as well. After an hour I continue, Neuchatel I reach for the park, and make a few photos of the lake and the sun reflections on the surface of the water - I'm fascinated by it!
Via Wavre, La Neuville, Ligerz (very nice village) until Biel/Bienne, which I ride along on the west. Grenchen I pass through quickly as well, seems having no real soul this village. Then Solothurn, also ridden quickly through and reach Wiedlisbach, most anoying bicycle trail there. 18:45 I reach Olten, ride on the right side passing the traffic jam of cars. Again on bicycle trail no 5 I reach Aarau, 20:00 - and decide to stay there and not ride much further and find a campsite near the river. I make a little campfire with moist wood, after 30 Min succeed even. 21:40 enough for this day. Thanks!
