Late 9:30 depature, in the night it was raining and thunderstorm, after midnight it calmed so I slept quite well. After Semsales it goes steeply downhill toward Vevey, beautiful sights. Near Villeneuve I ride toward Noville and passthrough the rhone delta on bicycle trail and reach St. Gingolph, the swiss/french border. Close to the hill further to Evian les Bains, which I like - further to Thonon where I go to shop quickly. Later I meet a bicycle fellow on a racing bicycle, and we ride together until Geneve - he has a daughter who traveled two years on a tandom with her partner, himself quite in shape with likely over 65 years of age, we talk on cultures, bicycles, touring etc. Alone I continue to ride through Geneve rather quickly, Nyon, Rolle, where I stop to study the rest of the route for the day, when David, a preachy evangelist approaches me and tells me about "Jesus Christ the Saviour", usually I'm annoyed upon that simple spiritual or rather dogmatic religious views like that, but he seems not only talking but able to listen, and once I asked a few questions he did not know the answer he openly admitted it - anyway, he seemed honest which made me stay and discuss with him, even the discussion run a bit in circles. I continued to ride toward Morges and head to Cossonay where I spotted my campsite as I envisioned it in the morning near a forest, at 21:30 pitched the tent. Thanks!
