  3 Days Hike: Thusis - Domat/Ems |
A few days with warm weather, actually "foehn" (south wind coming over the alps), so I decided to hike a passage I would otherwise not hike, flat from Thusis to Tamins, and then Chur - yet, I cut the last day short.
Arriving ~10:00 in Thusis, shopping some fresh bread and cheese, and then head to Rhein river, where the hiking trail mostly follows - the grass is still grey or pale, the spring time hasn't kicked in yet.
The temperature rises quickly from ~5C to 12C within about an hour, and then further to 17C when "foehn" south wind kicks in, I pull my trousers up to the knee and walk with just two layers of shirts (no jacket) - for 2 hrs a sense of spring.
The Hinterrhein I follow, at this day, is crystal clear.
Once I reached a nice spot I planned to camp, I pitched the tent ~14:00 - quite early, but a short hike for the first day and also first hike of this year.

Temperature dropped to ~3C in the night, but I wait until sun hits the tent through the trees, ~10:00 - at 10:30 I depart. The air quickly warms up, and I drop the jacket again - the forest and grass is pale, reaching Raehzuens castle, and nearby Bonaduz - through zigzag traversing the two Rheins (Vorderrhein and Hinterrhein) - both crystal clear - and then reach Tamins, where I shop a bit again and unlike planned, I only continue a bit and hike up a bit and find an amazing place overseeing the valley.

Long sleep, like previous night, as if I tried to recover from sleep deprevation - around 10:30 leaving the place, and descend to the Rhein, and I decide to cut this last day short and end it in Domat/Ems trainstation, I planned to go further yesterday and today, but the physical endurance isn't build yet.
As I took the train ~12:00 direction Zurich, the sky got overcast and a bit rain even - a complete change from where I came from.

Usually the last week of February is the coldest week of the entire year here in Switzerland, not this year - vegetation is still dormant, at the place where I live already tulips are pushing up, not yet show their colors, but soon.
