4 Days Hike Samedan - Suvretta - Julier - Savognin

After weeks of cooler and rainy days - which were welcomed - stable sunny & warm weather established itself with northwind (aka Bise) with temperatures 30-34°C in the flat land, so it was ideal to hike again higher up.

Taking train to Zuoz, and bus to Bever (close to Samedan) and enter the valley of Bever, mild ascend until reaching Alp Suvretta and ascend up to 2200m to find a flat spot to pitch my tent.

Good sleep, chilly temperatures early morning apprx. 10°C when the sun hits my spot while packing, and continue 9:15 up to the Pass Suvretta 2614m. Steeper descend toward another "Alp Suvretta" (same name but other side of the pass) and turn right / south along the slope above Silvaplana but at 2200m keeping elevation and enter valley toward Julierpass, before the pass I find a nice place. During the day constant cooling north wind aka Bise which at 15-20°C is pleasant.

Milder night perhaps 15°C, leaving late 9:30, and ~10:00 reach Julierpass at 2284m, and continue and mild descend toward Bivio - and decide to stay in the valley and a bit outside at Salvedret in the forest I find my spot for tonight - early at 15:00.

Good long sleep, much needed - 9:15 departure in the shadow in the forest, and after Marmorera I decide to ascend slightly 200m to hike above the tree line at ~2000m on a small plateau with absolute stunning scenery - incl. small ponds giving dreamlike scene. Early afternoon I decide to end the hike and descend to Tinizong, a small village short before Savognin.
