Arriving with bus in Bivio ~13:00 - mild ascend to known Septimerpass I already knew, and feel strong enough to descend again to Maroz Dora (1800m) and enter Val Maroz thereby, and a bit further pitch my tent for tonight.

Starting early, and ascend and come by Maroz Dent hamlet, an impressive scenery with a wide river bed, and then a steep ascend of 500 Hm, and I reach Val de la Duana (with its Piz Duan), at the upper small lake I pitch my tent - it's chilly, and very windy.

All night wind, and temperature dropped to apprx. 5°C at night, and in the morning raises perhaps to 10-12°C, but due the wind it feels a bit colder. At the junction I walk ~10-15 min toward Pass de la Duana and peek into another valley, and return to the junction, and have to ascend just ~100 Hm, but those feel much more - once I reached Pass da la Val Roda there is barely any flora like grass, flowers, or any kind of vegetations, yet, the larger 3rd pond contains fishs (Laegh da la Caldera), no idea how they came to reside there, and how they survived the winter (assuming the pond being fully frozen). The landscape looks like moon-like, just plain monochromatic rocks and a deep blue sky . . . otherworldly. I breath in the scenery . . . and rest for a brief lunch.

What follows is a steep descend, from 2751m to apprx. 2000m, the route is barely marked, and not well maintained - each step taken with great care due the heavy backpack. Eventually I reach a flat meadow, the start of Val Madris for me, and the river Aegua da Madris, rather flat first and some steeper brief "steps" - a long winding valley - after ~3 hrs I reach the end of the valley at Croet, and just 10-15 min after I find a nice spot in the shade to pitch my tent - hoping for less wind and milder temperatures after the past 3 days with chilly temperatures at night and constant wind.
