At this point I decided to go further south in warmer region so was my hope, direction to Toulon, avoiding Marseille and reaching Trets.

The next morning some surprise, some ice on the cover . . . what followed a nice descent to 0m elevation at Toulon, a city which isn't that easy to ride through - it's surely the 3rd or 4th time I rode through it, and every time I struggled with finding good bicycle paths to traverse it. Then tried to make way to north-west but it was difficult to find places to camp, so finally over 80km until a suitable showed up.

Following the river Issole a bit, and then going slightly north with some small lakes, at one I washed some cloths, beautiful place, but it was so windy that I had to move on until Carces - slow day.

Some brief trip today, with a short but steep ascending, at the top with a nice place in a dry forest - time to charge my smartphone (all-in-one photocamera, GPS, navigation) again with my solar panel.

I ended up a week staying at this place, as one day I felt tired and required some more sleep then some rainy and cooler days which made me stay - also had some pain in the hip (Ichias nerve) which immobilizd me for 1-2 days: the lesser I moved the more pain I had, until I ran out of water and had to get up again - the first few minutes were painful until I rode again and the pain vanished. Also the cooler nights weren't good for this condition - so the next days whenever I felt some slight pain I kept moving or keeping the hip warm; the pain did not came back anymore.

After a week I was eager to ride again, was feeling strong again, sufficient sleep and warmer weather again, trying out a new route at the Haut Provence region.
