4 Days Hike: Bernina & Albula

Revisiting the Grisons region again, a nearby valley from the previous hike: Bernina Pass, and Albula Pass (nearby) - a brief 4 days hike.

Taking train to Chur - Samedan and then bus to Bernina Pass (Bernina Albergo) 2307m, and then hike back the valley, first along the Lago Bianca, and then aside of the train track and street - after apprx. 3hrs close to Bernina Suot I find a nice spot for tonight.

Good sleep, the street traffic was minimal during night, and leave 10:00 heading to Morteratsch, and then further Pontresina, which I circumvent and soon reach Samedan, and then continue to Bever, and enter the valley of Bever, and reach Spinas, where the train enters the Albulatunnel, and I continue further until a place named "God Bever", short before the ascend to the Fuorcla Crap Alv.

The brook nearby was loud all night and soothed a bit early morning - also the color of the water changed from yesterday to this morning, from green opaque to more clear water; 9:30 leaving and ascending the steep trail to Fuorcla Crap Alv and reach the pass apprx. 1hr later - leaving one valley for another - and descend slowly into Val d'Alvra aka valley Albula with the Albula pass nearby, and I reach Crap Alv. Interestingly no cars are on the road, but hundreds of cyclists, it's SlowUp day

, where the road is dedicated for cyclists and joggers.

I continue a bit further to Lai da Palpuagna 1918m, a small lake, and nearby find a nice spot for tonight. Just a short leg for today, the clouds already formed 13:00 and 14:00 first rain drops, 17:00 more rain and thunder into the evening.

Long & good sleep, and awake early and leave 8:30 and decide to end the hike in Preda nearby, the north/western tunnel entry/exit of the Albulatunnel, and get on the train - end of this hike.
