2 Days Hike: Ilanz - Chur

A brief hike from Ilanz, which was a village which often was the end of previous hikes, this time starting it there and head to Chur.

Overcast, I suspect a bit rain seeing the dark clouds, 12°C - arriving 10:40 at Ilanz by train, and heading along Vorderrhein and then ascending along the cliffs, as down at the river is no space for a hiking path even - from 770m up to 1100m elevation and down again. At the peak with a nice view down to the winding river Vorderrhein, rain started for apprx. 1.5 hrs, meanwhile I reached close to Trin Digg, in the nearby forest I found a nice spot for tonight.

Even it's low elevation region, the Rheinschlucht is beautiful with its steep crumbling slopes and the winding Vorderrhein river.

Good long sleep, and 10:30 depature and then reach Tamins apprx. 1hr later - where the Vorderrhein (northern arm) and Hinterrhein (southern arm) flow together - a small village I have been visiting previously in May 2024 on another hike, and along the slope and then descend down to the river Rhein again, and at Felsberg cross the river right-hand side, and along the noise highway toward Chur - at the first bus stop this hike ended, after 10min bus ride I arrived at the Chur train station.

During the day the temperature jumped between 12°C and 20+°C back and forth, due the south wind "foehn", and preventing the overcast to rain down - this is what I hoped for.
