3 Days Hike: Hospental - St. Gotthard - Giuebin - Andermatt

Hiking with two friends this time, starting in Hospental, and mild ascend to St. Gotthard pass, partially along the road - beautiful scenery nevertheless. We have some small dinner at the restaurant, something I won't do if I'm hiking alone, and then hike a bit further for tonight's camp site. It's quite windy with brief gusts.

Throughout the night occasional gusts disrupted our sleep, so we all are missing a bit sleep, leaving 8:30, brief steeper ascend but otherwise mild ascend, the path gets rougher and the view wider the higher we get until ~2750m - we skip the peak of Giuebin itself, further to the Sellapass, the path is rough and we descend over few patches of snow to the next flat meadow at ~2400m, still windy at the evening - a bit overcast, but by the evening the clouds are more scarce.

Good night sleep, apprx. 5°C in the night, 6:15 the sun hits the tent, and it warms up quickly, no wind during the night. We start the descend with our jackets on, and walking around a big boulder and the temperature increases significantly and we take the jackets off, near the Vermigelhuette at 1950m, our first 450m drop, rather mild descend further through the long valley of Unteralp, not many hikers underway today. Just around 14:00, after 4.5 hrs we reach Andermatt again at 1450m, where this hike ends.
